Digital dialogue 4.0 completed in Koshi and Madhesh provinces, extensive discussion about digital provinces

Digital Dialogue 4.0 organized by ICT Foundation Nepal has been completed in Koshi and Madhesh provinces.

In line with the effort to measure the digital capability of the province, Digital Koshi Dialogue was organized in Biratnagar on 4th Baisakh and Digital Madhesh Dialogue was organized in Janakpur on 6th Baisakh. After this, digital dialogue 4.0 will also be available in other 5 provinces.

In the digital dialogue organized in Koshi and Madhesh provinces, there was a wide discussion about the digital situation of the province between the provincial government, people’s representatives, stakeholders and representatives of government and non-government bodies.

Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Karki was present as the chief guest at Digital Koshi Samvad 4.0 while Buddhikumar Rajbhandari, Social Development Minister of Koshi Province, President of Chamber of Morang Suyash Pyakurel, Mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan City Nagesh Koirala and others were present as guests.

Niraj Dahal, IT and e-Governance expert of Koshi Province, Regional and Local Government Support Program, gave a presentation about digital governance of Koshi Province.

There was also a panel discussion about the competent digital province. In the discussion, former Vice Chairman of Planning Commission of Koshi Province Subodh Pyakurel, President of Village Federation of Koshi Ayuv Ansari, Secretary of Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of Koshi Province Umesh Vasnet, Deputy Dean of Purvanchal University Manoj Kumar Halwai, Managing Director of General Technology Sunaina Ghimire and Co-Founder of Dynamic ERP Som Kumar Shah were the speakers. was as The session was facilitated by ICT expert Hempal Shrestha.

Similarly, Mahesh Prasad Yadav, Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Commerce of Madhesh Province participated as the chief guest in Digital Madhesh Pradesh 4.0 which was completed on 6th Baisakh.

Former Science and Technology Ganesh Shah, Deputy Chairman of Madhesh Pradesh Planning Commission Natu Prasad Chaudhary, Acting Principal Secretary of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers Office Kishore Kumar Chaudhary and Janakpur Sub Metropolitan Mayor Manoj Kumar Shah were also present as special guests.

In the program, IT and e-Governance expert of Madhesh Pradesh, Regional and Local Government Support Program Krishna Kumar Shah gave a presentation about digital governance of Madhesh Pradesh.

A panel discussion was also held on Digital Madhesh 4.0. The speakers were Natu Prasad Chaudhary, Vice Chairman of Madhesh Pradesh Planning Commission, Manoj Kumar Shah, Mayor of Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City, Devendra Jha, Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Home and Communications of Madhesh Pradesh, Pankaj Jalan, Chairman of Lord Buddha Education Foundation and Satis Yadav, Managing Director of Infotech Networks. The session was facilitated by ICT expert Hempal Shrestha.

Last year too, ICT Foundation Nepal organized Digital Province Dialogue in all seven provinces. This year too, Digital Koshi Dialogue has been organized in Biratnagar, the capital of Koshi Province, and Digital Madhes Dialogue has been organized in Janakpur, the capital of Madhesh Province.

It is said that the program will be held in the rest of the province soon. This year, the Provincial Dialogue will be concluded in Pokhara, Gandaki Province.

After digital dialogue is held in all seven provinces, a book based on research covering the digital situation of the entire province will be published, ‘Digital Province Scenario 2’.

The organizer has informed that ‘Digital Nepal Conclave 2023’ will be held in Kathmandu on the third week of June as a grand program. The conclave program started last year with the provinces.
