Driving license will be available in a week!

Now the driving license will be available within a week. After passing the trial and submitting the revenue, the Transport Management Department has proceeded with the work by giving the license within a week.

On Monday, in an event organized by Economic Journalists Association of Nepal in the capital, Director General of Transport Management Department, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, informed that the work has been progressed to give driving license within a week.

The department is currently purchasing a new printer. International bids were invited for that last week. After purchasing a new printer, cards will be printed from 2 printers.

‘If someone passes the trial and submits the license revenue, we have started preparations to issue a card within a week,’ Director General Bhattarai said, ‘we are going to purchase a new printer with the same objective. We are purchasing the card accordingly.’

He said that it will take 5-6 months to prepare all this. For this, the department has also prepared to amend the law.

At present, the department is giving a trial license for one year after passing the trial and then a permanent driving license only.
