CPU and GPU

The HP Omen 16 comes in a variety of CPU choices. On the red side, you get AMD’s Ryzen 9 7940HS CPU while the Blue Side offers more choices. HP Omen 16 can be configured with multiple 13th Gen Intel Raptor Lake mobile CPUs, such as the Intel Core i7-13620H, a Core i7-13700HX, or a Core i9-13900HX processor.

As it is HP’s premium gaming lineup, Omen 16 packs the high-end RTX 40-series GPUs. You can pair the intel CPUs with an NVIDIA RTX 4060, 4070, or 4080 GPU. Since the Ryzen 9 variant hasn’t launched yet, we don’t know which GPUs it’ll offer yet.

Better Cooling

Omen 16 2023 has a new fan design that is 2.5 times slimmer with twice the number of blades. This leads to 29% more airflow compared to its predecessor. With an upgraded cooling system, the Omen 16 2023 is sure to handle all your gaming without performance throttling or getting uncomfortably warm.

Design and Display

There’s a subtle change in the design of the HP Omen 2023. The Omen Logo on the back is now replaced by a text one. The laptop is predominantly plastic with some brushed metal around the edges.

HP Omen 16 2023 sports a 16.1” IPS anti-glare screen. The laptop can be configured with up to a 240Hz refresh rate and up to QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. The screen covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut and can go up to 300 nits in brightness. Besides that, it also has a 3ms response time and Low Blue Light capability. The exact specifications might differ depending on the variant you’re purchasing.

Fueling the HP Omen 16 is an 83WHr Lithium Ion battery that supports fast charging from 0 to 50 % in just 30 minutes. You can configure the laptop with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM via the two SO-DIMM slots.
