Ncell Presents Purple Saturday Darwarmarg Street Festival will be held on 2nd Baisakh

On the occasion of Nepali New Year 2080, Ncell Presents Purple Saturday: 16th Darwarmarg Street Festival will be organized on 2nd Baisakh, Saturday at Darwarmarg in Kathmandu.

Federation of Nepal Industry and Commerce, Darwarmarg Development Board and Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (Reban) are going to organize this festival with the special cooperation and main sponsorship of the federation with Ncell.

This festival is going to be organized to keep the morale of micro, domestic, small and medium enterprises and tourism industry high. The main objective of the festival is to support the tourism development of the country by promoting internal tourism and to promote Nepali products, Nepali dishes and Nepali culture.

This festival will also help in cultural promotion and preservation within Kathmandu Metropolitan City. In addition, the official launch of the festival will be at 11:30 am on Saturday morning with a performance reflecting the culture of Kathmandu Valley.

This festival will be organized till 8:30 pm on that day with various entertaining performances and various fun activities in the area where the festival will be held.

Famous singers, artists and musical groups will perform in this festival. Artists Deepak Bajracharya and Rhythm Band, Kutumb, Pahelo Batti Muni, Trishala Gurung, Rohit Shakya, Synchronous, Lahure and The Elements etc. will perform.

Handicraft items produced by entrepreneurs with different physical abilities and products produced by handicraft entrepreneurs including women entrepreneurs will also be on display at the festival.

Special display/presentation stalls of various Nepali food dishes and indigenous products, separate kids zone for children will be the special attractions of the festival.

Similarly, the festival will also have an online gaming competition for video game connoisseurs. The festival will be held in the area from Mahendra Shalik in the south area of ​​Darwarmarg to the gate of Narayanhiti Sangrahalaya in the north.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City is the patron of the festival, Ncell is the main sponsor, Carlberg is the co-sponsor, Dabur Nepal is the beverage partner, the partner organization is Nepal Tourism Board and others are Kunu Nepal, NDS Ice Cream and KFC.

The organizers believe that the festival will greatly help in this effort, in the context of the ongoing work on how to revive the economy and tourism business, which has been weakened due to various reasons including the recent liquidity crisis.
