Remittance payment agreement between Nepal Remit and Sahara Nepal giving priority to digital remittance

Nepal Remit International Pvt. and Sahara Nepal Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited ‘SACOS’ has entered into a remittance payment agreement. With the agreement, remittances sent from abroad through Nepal Remit can be easily paid from more than 80 branches of Sahara Nepal ‘Sakos’ located in Eastern Nepal.

The agreement regarding remittance payment was signed by DGM Dev Bahadur Thapa on behalf of Nepal Remit and Chief Executive Officer Mahendra Kumar Giri on behalf of Sahara.

Nepal Remit International Pvt. Ltd., which has been working in the remittance sector for the past 17 years, has been importing remittances from different countries of the world. Nepal Remit, which is giving priority to digital remittances, has arranged for real-time bank deposits from many banks and financial institutions in Nepal, while remittance payments can be easily received through a network of more than 15,000 agents across the country.

Sahara Savings and Loan Cooperative Society Limited ‘SACOS’ provides banking and financial services to its members. It has been providing banking services through more than 80 branches in various districts of Eastern Nepal. Sakos has been providing services such as savings accounts, loans, insurance and remittances.
