Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series, Rumors, Features, Launch Date

Samsung’s next lineup of premium tablets is on the horizon. The CAD renders of the Galaxy Tab S9+ were out months ago, thanks to @Onleaks and Wolfoftablet. Now, the prices are also here. Let’s take a look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series including its rumors, specs, expected price, and availability.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Rumors:

The upcoming Tab S9 Series will include three devices: Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra.

Design and Display

According to the rumors, the Galaxy Tab S9+ will be just 5.64 mm thick. The CAD renders also reveal that Samsung will be using the same camera layout here as this year’s Galaxy lineup of smartphones. Including the flagship Galaxy S23 series. Other than these, the overall design looks similar to last year’s Galaxy Tab S8+.

Moving on, the vanilla tab S9 will boast an 11-inch WQXGA screen. While the Tab S9+ will sport a 12.4 inches WQXGA+ display (2800 x 1752 pixels) with a 266 PPI pixel density. On the other hand, the S9+ Ultra is said to equip a 14.6-inch WQXGA+ panel with the same (2800 x 1752 pixels). We can safely assume that the display will be a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate on the Tab S9 Series.

Rest of the specs

Some reports suggest Samsung will be going with the same “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy” chip for the series. While there’s talk of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip being used too. According to the renders, there appears to be a single front-facing camera in landscape orientation.

There will be a quad-speaker setup for audio. In terms of ingress protection, we might get to see IP67 dust/water resistance on the Ultra variant. For biometrics, we’ll get to see an in-display fingerprint scanner. Whereas Samsung is also expected to include wireless DeX compatibility here.

Talking of the battery capacity, the Galaxy Tab S9 will pack an 8,400mAh battery. While the Plus and Ultra versions will house 10,090mAh and 11,200mAh cells respectively.

But it is expected to bring the same USB Type-C 3.2 connector with 45W charging support as last time. The back of the tablet also hosts a magnetic silo to store the S Pen. Unfortunately, Samsung isn’t reviving the 3.5mm headphone jack here.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ Price and Availability

As per the latest rumors, the price of the Tab S9 is EUR 929 for 8/128GB WiFi and 12/256GB for EUR 1049. Meanwhile, the Tab S9+ (WiFi) and Tab S9 Ultra (WiFi) will cost EUR 1149 and EUR 1369 respectively. We can expect the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series price in Nepal to start from NPR 133,999 when it launches here.

Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy Tab S9 family alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the Samsung Unpacked Event.
