Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Price, Features, Launch Date

Samsung is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartwatch lineup, Galaxy Watch 6 series. We already know what it’s going to look like and we also know that it will be powered by an in-house Exynos W930 chip. And now, a new leak has seemingly revealed the prices of Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches as well. So, let’s get into everything about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Rumors:

The Galaxy Watch 6 lineup will include two models: the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. And while the “Classic” variant is bringing back the beloved rotating bezel, the vanilla Galaxy Watch 6 won’t look all that different from its predecessor. It will be available in three color options, including silver, black, and cream.

Likewise, Galaxy Watch 6 will arrive in 40mm and 44mm options; both with Bluetooth and 4G configurations. The Galaxy Watch 6 series recently visited FCC certification too, which revealed some key specs including battery and charging speed. And it seems that Watch 6 will get a bigger battery as well. Compared to a 284mAh and 410mAh battery on last year’s Galaxy Watch 5, its predecessor will get a 300mAh and 425mAh cell for the 40mm and 44mm variants, respectively. And it will have wired fast charging and 10W wireless charging.

Exynos W930 chip

Recently, the Exynos W930 chipset was certified by Bluetooth SIG and is expected to power the Galaxy Watch 6 series. Interestingly, it has the same model number (S5E5515) as the W920 that powered the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5. This probably means that the W930 will have the same base hardware, but with better binning and overclocking to differentiate the new chip.

Previously, there were rumors of the Exynos W980 too, but it looks like the W930 will be the final chip for Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch. However, we can expect that the high-end SoC. Another speculation is that the W980 might power a premium version of the smartwatch called the “Galaxy Watch 6 Pro”.
