State 1 Policy and Program: Digital State Not a Priority
Province No. 1 has presented the policy and program for the coming fiscal year 2078/79 on Thursday. Somnath Adhikari, the state chief of state 1, presented the policy and program for the fiscal year 2078/79 BS in the state assembly on Thursday.
Although other areas have been given priority in the policies and programs, digital states have not been given much priority. No concrete plan has been put forward for digital state.
It is mentioned in the policy and program that telemedicine service will be started through all the district hospitals and referral hospitals of the state. It is also mentioned in the policy and program of the coming fiscal year that government schools will be made technology friendly.
It is also stated that provincial policy will be formulated and implemented for the development, research and promotion of science and technology.
As per the policy and program, the detailed feasibility study of smart city and model village started in three places including Rumjatar of Okhaldhunga, Himalayan model village of Taplejung Ghunsa will be continued and implementation plan will be formulated in collaboration with the association, local level and private sector.
The policy and program has stated that all the houses will be electrified within the next two years and the use of electric stoves will be promoted.
“The Chief Minister’s Dashboard, Vehicle Registration and Transportation Service Management System will be implemented at full capacity to implement the Digital State Mission and Good Governance Action Plan prepared in line with the larger model of Digital Nepal,” the policy and program said.
It is stated in the policy and program that revenue collection will be made more transparent and effective through the use of information technology by formulating policies and laws related to revenue leakage control.
It is written in the policy and program, “Keeping in view the broad model of Digital Nepal, a detailed action plan of Province 1 Digital Province will be prepared and implemented and necessary arrangements will be made to increase citizen access with the provincial government. By making the practical implementation of digital state effective, the state will be oriented towards digital state.
