The Nepalese team became the second runner-up in the ABU Asia Pacific Robot Contest
The Nepali team has succeeded in becoming the second runner-up in the ABU Asia Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) 2022 competition. The Tribhuvan University IOE team from Nepal participated in this Robocon, which has representatives from every country.
Nepal managed to enter the semi-finals by defeating India’s team India University: Nirma University and Team Thailand: Nakhonayok Technical College on the world stage, but Nepal lost to Hong Kong in the semi-final and became the second runner-up.
The winner of the competition was the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the first runner-up was the Institute of Technology Seplaw from Indonesia.
There were 6 members in the representative team from Nepal. A robot developed by Tribhuvan University IOI plays a game called Lagori, also known as Lakkudhal.
ABU Robocon is a competition organized by the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union since 2002. This competition works for the development of engineering field and broadcasting technology.
