Nepal Rastra Bank is going to review the limit of electronic payment. Announcing the monetary policy for the fiscal year 2078/79 on Friday, NRB said that the limit of electricity payment will be reviewed.
The policy states, “In order to promote the electronic payment business, the limits of payment transactions through various means will be reviewed.” In addition, policy arrangements will be made to maintain the appropriate charges for electronic payment transactions.
Similarly, NRB has stated that the payment range of payment service providers and payment service operators will be increased to provide electronic payment service to the customers of microfinance institutions and cooperatives.
