Almost three weeks after the launch of the latest X60 series smartphones in India, Vivo seems to be preparing additional releases. The upcoming Vivo V21 and V21 SE are creating quite a stir on the internet ahead of their official release later this month. So, let’s dig into the specifications, features, and launch of the Vivo V21 series.
I live V21 SE
Here, the Vivo V21 SE was recently spotted on the Google Play Console. The listing indicates an 8GB RAM variant with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset. It will ship with Funtouch OS 11 on top of Android 11 out of the box. On the front, you get an FHD+ resolution (1800 x 2400) panel with a pixel density of 440 PPI. Furthermore, the listing picture indicates that the unit would have a water-drop notch display.
Other details about the Vivo V21 SE such as its display, dimensions, and storage variant, are currently unknown. The company may rebrand the phone as iQOO U3 in the Indian market as well. That’s because the iQOO U3 has the model number V2061A, while the V21 SE spotted on the Google Play Console bears the same model number.
I live V21
Moving on, we have been able to gather some information on Vivo V21’s specifications ahead of its official launch in Malaysia. The phone will have a 44MP selfie camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Eye Auto Focus (Eye AF). The eye focus mode can follow the movement of the user’s eyes and focus the picture accordingly.
It has a 64MP AI camera with OIS on the rear alongside two additional sensors. While their exact lens type is unknown, we expect the phone to arrive with an ultrawide and a macro sensor.
Furthermore, the system will be powered by Funtouch OS 11 on top of Android 11. Additionally, a virtual memory feature may be present as well that would add an extra 3GB RAM on top of the 8GB RAM.
Plus, it will have support for 5G on dual SIM. Moreover, Vivo has been teasing these phones to be its slimmest 5G smartphones as well. To recall, last year’s Vivo V20 was also the thinnest model in the V series and had an appealing design. A similar style will be seen in the V21 as well.
Vivo V21 Series Official Launch Date
Vivo will launch the Vivo V21 and Vivo V21 SE in Malaysia on April 27. The official support page for V21 has already gone live. There is also speculation that the device will be released on the same day in India.
Although the price is not yet known, the Vivo V21 is expected to retail for less than INR 25,000 in India. The company is attempting to deliver the slimmest 5G handset in two separate colors with the Vivo V21 series.
