I’m a 16-year-old boy. I have grown only one inch in the last two years.
I’m only 5’3" tall. What can I do to increase my height? Do products
like YOKO height increaser and Dr Ayurveda work? Please suggest me
something. I’d really appreciate any help. – Anonymous.
(The reply of the question given by Dr. Ranjeet Baral himself)
I have answered this question before in different formats on more than
one occasion. Well, you are only 16 so you still have till at least a
few more years for your height to increase since most people do grow
till 18 and a few may grow beyond that age too. We also have to
understand that the Nepalis are genetically of shorter stature. Growth
is a multifaceted process involving genetics, nutritional and
environnental factors. Disturbances in any of these may alter growth.
Growth from birth to adolescence, growth occurs in two different stages.
The first from birth till two years is rapid but decelerating growth.
The second from two years till the onset of puberty is consistent with
steady annual increments.
However, in your personal case, five feet three is quite a normal Nepali
height and you are only 16 years old. Thus, to come to your specific
question, we have methods like ROKO, yoga, pills, hyponosis, exercises,
pilates, rolfing, Tai Chi Chuan, YOKA, et cetera. For instance, YOKO is
supposed to be scientifically designed to help one grow taller naturaly.
YOKO works by stimulating pituitary action. Besides giving you the extra
inches you desire, YOKO supposedly increases bloog circulation, improves
digestion, increases metabolisn, reduce tiredness, slows down aging,
smoothnens breathing and promotes general good health.
According to the human growth medical research findings of Dr Ichiro
Kawaguchi of Tokyo Research Laboratory of the National Health Department
and Dr A Kawata from the Kyoto University, human height is not
determined by genetic factor along but is strongly influenced by the
effects of certain hormones on the development of the 26 skeletal bones
and the cartilageneous portions of the 62 bones of the lower body. The
stimulation of the pituitary gland would increase hormonal production,
which would then spur the growth of the cartilageneous protions of the
bones of the lower body, ultimately leading to height increase.
Once our genes have orchestrated the growth and development of the body
to the poin that it can reproduce, the purpose for growth is complete.
This usually happens at the average age of 16 years for girls and 18
years for boys.
There is very little evidence to suggest that people can grow taller
after puberty. Humans usually grow faster as infants and toddlers. They
also grow significantly as growth spurts hit during puberty. A
nutritious diet that includes fruits and vegetables, dairy, cereals, and
plenty of water will aid the natural process for enhancing height.
Getting proper sleep is vital for the growth hormones to perform its
function effectively. Not getting enough sleep can lower the amount of
growth hormones your body produces.
