Today I want to share you something about a Nepali movie, Highway which
was directed by and produced by
Deepak Rauniyar incoperation with
associate producers: Susan Rockfeller, Jay Maharjan and Jamie Mateus-tique; executive producers:
Dr. Lonim P Dixit and Dr. Sameer M Dixit; co-producers:Joslyn Barnes and Danny Glover. Screenplay for Highway movie was done by Abinash Bikram
Shah and story writers are Kedar Sharma, Khagendra Lamichhane and the producer himself. The leading actor is Saugat Malla
and leading actress of this movie is Reecha Sharma. Richard Horowitz has
given his music for this movie. Persons behind cinematography are Apal
Singh, Jyoti Keshar Simha and Nishant Purohit whereas at the editorial
sector David Barker, Kimberley Hassett, Rita Meher along with the
director Deepak Rauniyar himself are the peoples behind. This movie was
made at the studios of Aadi Productions in co-operation with Louverture
Films, a New York based company. This movie is trying to show how
Nepalese life has been affected by the bandh or strikes. The vehicles
have to wait in the jam on the highway road for many hours before they
reach their destinations.
In my view the movie reflects almost the actual issue happening around
