Kathmandu Cycle Rally, Cycle Rally in Nepal

On April 6 Mega rally is helding at Kathmandu to press for cycle lanes.
Hunders of people are taking part in mega cycle rally next week. The
brainchild of youth-led NGO’s and groups has scheduled for April 6 Cycle
Rally in Kathmandu with the slogan "Come join us and raise your voice
for better cycling infrastructure". Participants or cyclists will start
cycling at 9 am on Friday from Khulamanch. The rally will pass through
Exhibition Road, Singha Durbar, Hanumansthan and Thapathali before
ending at Bhaktapur. The very same day a petition letter will be handed
over the authorities concerned demanding cycle lanes in the Valley.
It is a right time organising Cycle Rally in Nepal as the government is
pushing the road widening campaign forward to control traffic congestion
in major cities, including the Kathmandu Valley.
Nevertheless, I also want to wish good luck for Kathmandu Cycle City
2020. International cycling tourism is a billion dollar market with high
growth potential. So, why don’t we take part in Mega Rally on April 6 to
press for cycle lanes and for better Nepal?
