HAPPY TEEJ FESTIVAL
Today is the ‘Daar’ eating day as today is the pre-Teej celebration. So
today Nepalese are eating Daar in their homes and their relatives
invite them to join Daar feast. I am also enjoying today. Fortunately,
today is a holiday as it’s Saturday here. Now workload, no tension, and
only masti today. People wait esp. Women to eat Daar since a month
ago as tomorrow they do fast whole day long even not by drinking a
single drop of water. They worship to Lord Shiv for their husband’s
health & long life. Similarly, the unmarried girls do fast for their
boyfriends and to get a healthy, rich and a good husband in future.
Teej Songs are being played all over Nepal and rest of the world too.
Really the then Teej songs have been really replaced by the modern day
Teej songs. I believe this is a historical in Nepalese Teej songs &
even the way we celebrate the various festivals of Nepal. I have
