Katuwa Chaupari | It is believed that building an international airport in the tourist town of Pokhara would be displaced paragliding flight from Sarangkot. So  it is being prepared  to conduct business in Parbat. In fact, Paragliding in Parbat has already surveyed and scientifically tested by seven gliders.
Two weeks of testing and paragliding over the sky of Kusma, Gyandi and surroundings have encouraged to launch it commercially for local as well as international tourists. The paragliders will take off from hills of Salyan and would take off at Badagau/Wadagau pastureland (near Kushma-Gyandi Suspension Bridge).  For this very purpose, District Paragliding Managment Organisation has been already established.
Bimal Raj Subedi, one of the committee member says “Preparations are underway to implement the district paragliding festival.” On Thursday, 8 pilots took the flight and enjoy the surrounding beauty.
The pilot, Nuren Rana told, “If we install good infrastructure from the very begging then we would be able to make Kushma an excellent destination for paragliding flights. This would help to attract commercial airlines companies and other companies”.
I already had heard about paragliding in Katuwa Chaupari and tried to find out while visiting Kushma. To my surprise, I found a newspaper published by (National News Agency) RSS Nepal which suggested that Chamber of Commerce, Mountain Tourism Promotion Center, DDC was also launching paragliding flights for several years before this first commercial Paragliding in Parbat started.
