Sony has finally announced the launch date of its highly premium earbuds, the WF-1000XM5. The earbuds are a significant improvement over the previous model. New WF-1000XM5 renders posted by WinFuture on June 7 gave off ideas for designs and structure. The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds have a rounded design with glossy plastic construction and Sony branding outside the case.
They are IP4X rated for water resistance and have a USB-C port on the charging case. The earbuds are slightly lighter than the WF-1000XM4 earbuds, at 5.9 grams each, down from 7.3 grams. Moreover, the earbuds have new ear tips and wingtips, providing a more secure fit.
Audio
Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds will feature an 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X for audio. The dual-feedback microphones and two proprietary processors will deliver a real-time ANC. The earbuds will come with three microphones per earbud and bone conduction sensors to ensure precise voice pickup for clear calls in noisy environments. Also, HiRes Audio with DSEE Extreme support will enhance the audio performance of the earbuds.
