China gave eight electric vehicles to the Federal Parliament Secretariat

The Chinese government has provided eight electric vehicles to the Federal Parliament Secretariat. The secretariat has informed that the Chinese government has provided the vehicle as a support.

Chinese People’s Congress Standing Committee Chairman Li Chansu, who visited Nepal a year ago, said that he would support electric vehicles. In a meeting with the then speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota, he said that he would support the secretariat. Accordingly, the secretariat has informed that the vehicle has been received.

State Order and Good Governance Committee Secretary Suraj Kumar Dura said that three AUVs and five electric cars were received on the initiative and request of the then Speaker Sapkota, who wanted to help Speaker Chansu.

A few days ago, China handed over those vehicles worth about three million rupees to the staff team of the Parliament Secretariat at the Nepal-China border crossing at Kerung. Currently, those vehicles are in the Parliament building premises.

Number plates and registration are in progress. Earlier, in 2016, China also provided some vehicles as support to the Secretariat. Rasas
