July witnesses a decline in electric car imports

In the first month of the current financial year 2080/081, there has been a decline in the import of electric cars (EVs). EVs made up only 19 percent of the overall petroleum and electricity-powered vehicles in July. During that month, 110 units of electric cars from various brands were imported. Based on customs department data, 83 units were imported from China, while the remaining 27 units were sourced from other countries.
