What to do to prevent Facebook page from being hacked?

Lately, the incidence of Facebook page hacking has been increasing. We have been reading and hearing the news that the Facebook pages of many famous people and organizations are being hacked daily, not only in Nepal but also around the world.

Nowadays, hackers send messages saying that they advertise on pages and profiles with well-known names and many floors, and if you do what they say, your account will be hacked.

At first, they ask for your email, and if you click on the link in the email and do as they say, your account can be easily hacked.

Similarly, today’s hackers also ask for your Facebook cookies. Cookies can be used to log in to an account without a password or email.

In this, they send a message that your account/page is being closed through a fake notification. They ask you to send your Facebook account cookies to avoid being blocked. They have made a video tutorial on how to extract cookies.

And after getting cookies, they can directly access your Facebook account. Even if you have two-factor authentication in your account, you can log in directly after receiving cookies, and Facebook will not even notify you of a new login.

So, how do you prevent the Facebook page from being hacked?

  1. Let’s see who the admin is on the Facebook page and profile. Once an account is hacked, the page itself can be hacked.
  2. Let’s not create random admins.
  3. Recognize the fake notifications that come on Facebook.
  4. If you get a message saying your page will be closed, go to www.facebook.com/profile_status. If no restriction is written on the green line, then there is no problem on the page, and understand that the notification is fake.
  5. Please do not click on random links saying there are millions of advertisements.
  6. To avoid cookie theft, make it a habit to lock your mobile, phone and computer.
  7. Know the bot comments that come after Facebook is hacked.
