Depression or Sadness and How to face against it?
What is depression?
Sadness affects in various ways but the biggest troublesome for everyone is emotional hurt (pain). Now let’s talk about a boy whose father was suddenly dead because of heart attack and respiratory problems. At that time, the boy was only 14 years old. The boy never could forget the news of his father’s death told by her aunt. At first, he did not believe that the news was true. He saw his father’s dead body at the funeral but still he thought that was impossible. He even did not cry for 6 months. Often he waits as his father would return home from work. It took completely one year for him to accept his father’s death. After that, he completely felt alone. Any simple things like returning back from or going to an empty house made him remember his father’s death. At that moment, he used to cry out loud. He missed his father a lot.
As expressed by the feelings of the 14 years old boy, depression can also be a lot unbearable. But here is one thing to be happy this type of hurt or pain can be cured. But it will take a time to be recovered. As a deep wound of a body takes a time to be healed so as the depression when somebody your lover dies to take a time to be cured or healed. The hurt or pain you get when your lover dies takes one month, a year or more time to be healed. But the emotional pain you got at first gets less painful as time passes and you do not feel life is as much darkness and meaningless.
Along with this, for the recovery or healing of the hurt or pain, you get when you’re the nearest one dies and to learn to live in the new situation we can say that sadness or pain is necessary. When somebody dies then his or her position becomes empty. We have to learn to live without him or her. The depression helps you to express your emotions or feelings. It is obvious that all the people do not express their emotions of sadness or depression in the same way but we even cannot reject one thing that locking emotions inside or within us leads to mental, emotional and physical disadvantages. If so how can we express our depression in a healthy way?
How to face or stand against the depression or sadness?
You need to have some extra courage to stand against the pain or hurt or depressions. That is why because at that time you might feel emotional ups and downs. Never forget! Do not feel shame cry or weep. Lots of people have got the habits of trying to compress the depression or sadness as habitual and compulsion.
Also, if you believe in god and when you think that you cannot control or resist the depression then pray to god. You can feel that God will grace your power and courage to stand against the sadness or depression.
