Blogger's New Policy Says No Adult Content
Blogger, a blogging platform by Google, is going to make changes on it’s privacy policy. It says starting from March 23, 2015, nobody won’t be able to publicly share images and videos that are sexually explicit or show graphic nudity on Blogger. The updated policy also says they’ll still allow nudity if the content offers a substantial public benefit. For example, in artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific contexts.
Blogger’s Policy Changes: You won’t see or feel any changes if your blog has no any nudity or sexually explicit contents. Your blog will be made private after March 23, 2015 if your existing blog does have sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video. But no any content will be deleted rather your blog will go private mode i.e. private content can only be seen by the owner or admins of the blog and the people who the owner has shared the blog with.
Setting you can change on your blog: A blogger have a few options for changing his/her blog before the new policy starts if his/her blog was created before March 23, 2015 that violates Blogger’s new policy. Below are some of the ‘what a blogger can do’ options.
1. Remove sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video from his/her blog.
2. Mark his/her blog as private.
3. If he/she’d rather take his/her blog down altogether, he/she can export his/her blog as a .xml file or archive his/her blog’s text and images using Data Tools – Download your data (Google Takeout).
After effects on new blogs: Blogger may remove your blog or take other action if your blog created after March 23, 2015 includes content that’s sexually explicit or shows graphic nudity as explained in Blogger’s content policy.
