Authority’s Clarification: Teramox technology does not do voice tapping, nor does it look at SMS

The Nepal Telecommunication Authority has made it clear that it will not tap the calls and view the customer’s SMS using the Teramox (Telecommunication Traffic Monitoring and Fraud Control System) technology that is going to be placed in the system of the telecom service provider.

After Nepal Telecom raised questions about the data security of the customer and did not cooperate with Teramox connection, the authority clarified that Teramox technology will not tap the calls and will not view the customer’s SMS.
