Gigabyte has announced a refreshed version of its Aorus 15 and 17 gaming laptops. The gaming duo is now more powerful with Intel’s 13th Gen CPU and RTX 40 series GPU. So let’s get into the specs, features, availability, and expected price of Gigabyte Aorus 15 and Aorus 17 (2023) in Nepal.

Design and Display
Starting with the design, there are quite a few changes in this year’s models. Unlike the 2022 counterpart, there is a protrusion behind the display with the “AORUS” logo that houses vents and a few connectivity options. Gigabyte has also added clean-cut lines on the lid and an RGB strip alongside the hinge to add to the gaming aesthetics. The brand calls this the ‘Echoes of the Abyss’ design.
As for the display, Gigabyte offers the Aorus 15 and Aorus 17 in Full HD and QHD resolutions. The Aorus 15 features a 15.6-inch screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio, offering refresh rates of 144Hz, 240Hz, and 360Hz for Full HD resolution. The QHD model has a single refresh rate option of 165Hz.
The Aorus 17, on the other hand, flaunts a larger 17.3-inch display and is available with Full HD resolution and refresh rates of 144Hz or 300Hz, as well as a QHD resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate. Regardless of the variations, all the displays are TÜV Rheinland-certified for low blue light.
Powering these machines are the latest and great chips from Intel and Nvidia. Both the Aorus 15 and Aorus 17 can be configured with up to Intel Core i7-13700H CPU and RTX 4070 GPU. The Aorus 15 and Aorus 17 can be outfitted with up to an Intel Core i7-13700H CPU.
Interestingly, the GPU option includes yet-to-be-announced RTX 4070, RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 laptop GPUs, all of which are listed to have maximum graphics power of 140W on Gigabyte’s website. There’s also support for MUX switch, thus users can connect the discrete GPU directly to the display.
Moreover, both of these laptops are equipped with “WINDFORCE Infinity cooling,” which employs 12V fans with 72 blades and built-in heat pipes to provide a stable performance. Memory-wise, you get two DDR5 (@4800MHz) slots that can be configured with up to 64GB of RAM. Whereas, for storage, there are two Type 2280 M.2 slots for SSDs.
As gaming laptops, the Aorus 15 and Aorus 17 come with an array of port options. On the rear, you’ll find one Thunderbolt 4 (PD), one HDMI 2.1, one Mini DP 1.4, and one Ethernet port. The left side is house to a USB 3.2 Gen1 (Type-A), an Audio combo Jack, and an additional USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type-C) port on the Aorus 17.
The Aorus 17 also has two USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type-A) ports and an SD Card Reader on the right side. The Aorus 15, on the other hand, has two USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type-A) ports and one USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type-C) port on the right.

Moving on, the Aorus 15 and 17 (2023) are fueled by a 99Wh Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) battery. For charging you get a 240W adapter. Other features include an FHD webcam and dual 2W speakers with DTS: X Ultra Audio Technology. Similarly, the siblings both have triple-band WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
