Nepalis residing overseas now have easy access to this feature through IME’s foreign remittance partners. By incorporating the Social Security Fund (SSF) into its remittance platform, IME has become the first remittance company to offer this service.

IME Limited’s Chief Executive Officer, Khilendra Paudel, expressed that this facility demonstrates IME’s commitment to provide additional services and uphold the trust of Nepalis living abroad.

Furthermore, CEO Paudel stated that IME’s services will contribute to promoting the social security plan for foreign workers and self-employed individuals overseas.

Previously, the social security fund mandated that foreign workers and self-employed Nepali citizens overseas must contribute a minimum of 21.33 percent of the government-set minimum basic salary under the social security scheme, currently amounting to at least Rs.
