Communication and Information Technology Minister Rekha Sharma emphasized the significance of self-regulation and awareness in managing social media. She announced that the ministry is currently working on drafting a law to regulate the use of social media, with self-regulation and awareness as its underlying principles. Minister Sharma shared that a working group has been established within the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology to carry out this task.
