Seeds for the Future Summit Welcomed Four Participants from Nepal

To strengthen digital skills, Huawei, ASEAN Foundation and Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAEO) have organized ‘Seeds for the Future Summit-2023’.

91 multi-talented participants from 19 Asia Pacific countries have participated in the Seeds for the Future Summit-2023 to realize the slogan of ‘Connect, Cultivate, Contribute for Inclusive Digital Talent Growth in Asia Pacific’ at Huawei’s initiative.

The four winners from Nepal participated in the Seeds for the Future Summit 2023 with 91 participants from a total of 19 countries. The summit includes technology and cultural exchange programs, visits to Huawei’s world-class research and development centers and headquarters, as well as experiences in traditional and modern China.

Highlighting the theme of the summit, Simonlin, President of Huawei Asia Pacific, said that this is the third year that the Seeds for the Future Summit has been organized. “Each year, we can see this program flourishing with new, more partners joining,” he said, “however, three things remain unchanged: partnership, commitment and youth empowerment.”

As part of the summit, Huawei and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will focus on six key areas of digital cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region – ICT policy and regulation, joint research, inclusive infrastructure, digital capacity building, women and youth empowerment and digital practice sharing. Jointly announced.

The program was organized by the Executive Director of ASEAN Foundation. A panel discussion was also held under the leadership of PT Sri Sanganam. A panel comprising experts from the National University of Singapore, representatives from Huawei and Seeds for the Future shed light on how to use digital skills to enhance the capacity of future leaders in the sector and utilize lifelong skills.

This talent summit is an extension of the wonderful experience for the 91 students who were taken on a campus tour in Shenzhen and Dongguanmahuawei, China. There, they gained unique experience in areas such as information theory, digital power, automobile technologies and cyber security.

Participating students from ASEAN 10, South Korea, Japan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Fiji, Solomon Islands and other countries were collectively selected by Huawei, ASEAN Foundation and ITU.

Seeds for the Future

Seeds for the Future is a Huawei-initiated program with the goal of supporting future digital leaders to address social issues through technology and cross-cultural experiences as well as Tech for Good projects.
