Hachikō’s Birthday Coincides with Nepalese Kukur Tihar
Dogs and Cats might sound like fight and fight, but these two are the dearest animals in the world that I have lived my life with. Today is Kukur Tihar, the festival for Dogs in Nepal. Today dogs are worshipped, feed delicious foods and thanked for being a man’s best friend. Coincidently today’s Hachikō’s birthday. Hachikō was the Loyal Japanese Dog to whom the world knows for loyalty to his owner. When I fast watch the movie 5 or 6 years back, I was so touched by the Hachi: A Dog’s Tale (2009) that I couldn’t resist myself from crying. Today when we are celebrating Kukur Tihar (Dog Tihar) in Nepal my heart remembered Hachiko and I made a plan to watch the movie again. Surprisingly I found it was his 92nd birthday. This time also I couldn’t stop tears rolling down my checks. Sometimes I think the owner (Hidesaburō Ueno) might be the luckiest person ever to be lived in the Human history.
