Nepal’s biggest robotics competition started

Nepal’s largest robotics competition organized by the Robotics Association Nepal has started. Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the ninth edition of the Yantra Festival held on Sunday at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.

The Yantra program, which runs from Sunday to Monday, includes Robobar, Yantra International League, Yantra Teens, Yantra Kids, Yantra Swamanyaich, Yantra Autonomous and Yantra Expo.

While inaugurating Yantra 9.0, which will last for 2 days, Chief Guest KP Sharma Oli said that an international-level program like Yantra will help in sharing and expanding experience and knowledge.

Similarly, President of Robotics Association Nepal, Bikas Gurung said Yantra is the biggest robotics festival in Nepal and said that it will encourage young people who want to enter the field of AI and robotics.

100 teams are participating in the program. In which there is also a presence from India and Bangladesh. Prizes have also been arranged for the winners.

Apart from this, Gurung informed that as a pre-event of the device, mini devices, mini edTech AI conference, various workshops and training boot camps have been held in the province.

He said that those who want to get involved in robotics and AI should be given training and exposure and for that, he is working to create a robotics industry in Nepal.
