Prize announcement of social network relative expansion competition
Nepali-made business social network ‘Afant’ has announced the prizes of the ‘Afant Extension Competition’ which has been running for two months.
The names of five winners have been made public in a program organized in the capital. The winners are Susmita Dagora, Sushil Moktan, Sujit Prasad Kushwaha, Nisha Parajuli and Vimaldhan Rai.
The lucky winners will be given Rs 10,000 each and business development training, said Shyam Giri, chairman of Afant.
The social network called Afanta was launched a year ago with the objective of promoting small, home and small scale industries and businesses as well as developing entrepreneurship. The ‘relative’ website and app made by Nepali for Nepalis is available in both mediums.
Shyam Giri, president of Afanta Nepal Pralika, said that the idea came while exploring how to easily market the products of small and micro entrepreneurs, not just the pickles produced by the sisters in the relative network village.
He said that the relatives have been promoted as a medium for exchanging information between agricultural, industrial and other local producers and wholesalers and retailers and consumers as well as for exchanging information between export producers and external buyers and traders.
