The release of Qualcomm’s latest mid-range smartphone processor.

Qualcomm, the well-known chipset manufacturer, has unveiled a new processor for mid-range smartphones called Snapdragon 7S Gen 2. This special and innovative chipset is built on a 4 nanometer process node.

It is rumored that this chip will debut with Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note 13 Pro. The Snapdragon 7S Gen 2 is a budget-friendly alternative to the Gen 8 chips. This octa-core processor delivers a 2.4 GHz 4-core performance and supports up to a 144Hz FHD Plus display.

This chipset offers support for up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It also features a Snapdragon X62 5G modem, which supports 5G millimeter wave technology. Additionally, it includes USB 3.1 and Quick Charge 4 technology.

The Snapdragon 7S Gen 2 boasts Qualcomm Spectra 12-bit IPS, which enhances triple camera shooting. Furthermore, this chipset comes with Snapdragon Listening technology.

In terms of CPU performance, the Snapdragon 7S Gen 2 is weaker compared to other Snapdragon processors. Qualcomm has not yet announced the official release date for this new chipset, but it is expected to be unveiled soon.
