ICICI Bank in Nepal
ICICI Bank is now coming to Nepal. As per our own sources, the agreement between ICICI Bank & Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) almost has been on the final stage.
I have come to know that ICICI won’t operate as normal banks in Nepal but it will operate for some international transactions only. This is what I learned until now. But, still, we have more things to know about it.

ICICI Nepal
Does this really matter in the case of ICICI Nepal?
The simple answer is No. Because the nature of the ICICI working in Nepal won’t be like a Banking nature but like that of remittance.
The ICICI Bank will not be for the public but for other banks for the smooth international transaction as ICICI already has its services in more than 15 countries. So, in Nepal, they will act as an official representative.
As of now they have submitted a letter of intent to NRB and are waiting for the reply. I will update if this will help us to use International Cards since most of us are more focused on this only. 🙂
