Social dialogue program being organized by Nepal Information and Communication Technology Service Association

The Nepal Information and Communication Technology Service Association (UNNICTS) organized a social dialogue program on “Promoting the ICT sector for sustainable employment and economic growth in Nepal: growing together” on September 22, 2023. This program aims to discuss hot topics in the information technology sector.

UNICTS believes that this program will provide guidance for individuals and policy makers. Krishna Bahadur Raut, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Technology, was the chief guest of the program.

Additionally, the program includes guests such as Chairman of Nepal Telecommunication Authority, Purushottam Khanal, Director General of IT Department, Director General Premsharan Shrestha, and Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, Sunil Paudel.

Likewise, guests also include CAN Federation President Ranjit Kumar Poddar, ISPAN President Sudhir Parajuli, NAS IT President Richan Shrestha, Deerwalk Group Limited President Hitesh Karki, IIDS Executive Director Biswas Gauchan, and Information Technology Professional Vivek Shamsher Rana.

Furthermore, Manohar Kumar Bhattarai, President of ICT4 Development, Manish Pokharel, Dean of School of Engineering, Kathmandu University, Vinod Shrestha, President of JTUCC, Yogendra Kunwar, President of NTUC, and Jagat Simkhada, President of ANTUF are also guests at the event.

The Ministry of Information Technology, Information Technology companies, experts, CAN Federation, and Trade Union National Centers participated in the social dialogue to find practical solutions for the challenges within the Information Technology sector.
