Telecom Authority invites input for updating cyber security regulations

The Nepal Telecommunication Authority is planning to revise the Cyber Security Regulations, 2077. In a notice, the authority has invited individuals to provide their opinions and suggestions regarding any aspects that need to be amended in the regulations.

By implementing cyber security standards and best practices, the Authority has implemented the Cyber Security Regulations, 2077 to safeguard the ICT infrastructure and information systems of telecommunication services against various cyber threats and risks.

Now that the process of amending the regulations is underway, all relevant stakeholders, including telecommunication service providers who encounter difficulties in complying with the provisions of the regulations, are requested to submit their opinions in writing within fourteen (14) days from the date of this notice. They should specifically address the issues that need to be amended in the regulations and provide reasons for their proposed amendments.
