Biratnagar metropolis implementing technology based curriculum in community schools


Biratnagar Metropolitan Municipality has prepared to implement digital literacy program and technology-based curriculum in public schools.

The metropolis has also held discussions with subject experts to implement technology-based curriculum while giving high priority to the quality of education.

Mayor Nagesh Koirala said that only education based on technology along with digital literacy will produce the manpower demanded in the global market. He pointed out that it is necessary to make students proficient in technology right from the school level.

‘Teachers should also learn to move according to time. Due to the lack of coordination between the three levels of government, the educational sector has not achieved success as expected, he said.

Deputy Principal Shilpa Nirala Karki informed that the quality of community schools in the metropolis is being increased and emphasis is being placed on technology-based education.
