5 percent discount in Lalitpur for taxpayers who buy electric vehicles


Lalitpur Metropolitan Corporation has announced a 5 percent discount for taxpayers who buy electric vehicles.

The head of the Metropolitan Municipality, Chiribabu Maharjan, has announced that in the policy and program of the next financial year, ‘Taxpayers who submit a will for the purchase of electric vehicles will be given a 5 percent discount on the tax collected by the Metropolitan Municipality’.

Mayor Maharjan said that they will encourage the use of electric vehicles for private and public transport to control air pollution and replace diesel and petrol vehicles.

Similarly, the Lalitpur Municipality has announced that it will implement the concept of ‘one house, one plant’ by making certain standards while giving approval for building construction.

Announcing that the use of plastic bags of less than forty microns will be discouraged, Lalitpur said that they will arrange the production of fiber/paper/cloth bags as an alternative.

The metropolis, which has announced that it will have an environmental police, has said that it will conduct the green park construction as a campaign.
