Authority’s request to provide OTP to mobile numbers starting with 970

Nepal Telecommunication Authority has requested to provide necessary facilitation for OTP, sign up, payment and other services on mobile numbers starting from 970.

The authority has issued a notification and requested the service provider to facilitate the necessary services for the number starting with 970, when the OTP is not received, signup and transactions through the wallet were noticed.

Since the new numbering range (970XXXXXXX) has been opened, the mobile numbers starting with 970 have not received One Time Password (OTP), there is a problem in signing up for mobile apps and web-based services.

The authority has requested all concerned stakeholders to arrange for mobile numbers starting with 970 to be provided with services like other mobile numbers.
