Driving license payment can be done online

Director General of Transport Management Department Narayan Prasad Bhattarai has said that now they are going to make arrangements to pay money for driving license online.

Director General Bhattarai said this at an event organized by the Economic Journalist Association of Nepal in the capital on Monday.

The problem of having to run to the office will be eliminated when there is an arrangement to pay the fee online when applying for a driving license. Now, even if you fill the form online, you have to go to the transport office to pay the fee.

You can apply for driving license online. There is a situation where you have to come to the office to pay the money and give your biometrics,’ he said. It will be possible to use the said facility in some time.’

After that, you will have to go to the office only to give your biometrics. The biometric data taken while making the national identity card will have to go to the office until it is done with the department’s system.

He said that after linking the data of the national identity card to the system of the department, there is no need to go to the transport office for biometrics and it will take some time.
