Kathmandu Metropolitan City gave Rs 6 crore to the police for installation and operation of CCTV


Kathmandu Metropolitan City has provided 60 million rupees to Nepal Police for CCTV.

Balen Shah, Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has informed that 60 million rupees have been provided for the installation and operation of CCTV.

In the local elections, Shah, who won as a candidate for the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality, promised to install CCTVs in every corner of Kathmandu.

After the victory of the Mayor, fulfilling the same promise, Shah provided funds to install CCTV.

The Metropolitan Corporation has provided the Nepal Police with the information technology system to integrate the city’s peace and security, crime control, accidents, garbage management, footpath encroachment, pollution, use of public property, and the work of the Metropolitan Municipality into the information technology system.

This is just the beginning and many more collaborations in the future. Mayor Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City said.
