Government to promote digital economy

The government is going to promote the digital economy for the economic transformation of the country.

Presenting the budget for the financial year 2080/81 at the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament, Finance Minister Dr. Prakasharan Mahat said this.

For this, development of communication infrastructure, establishment of digital banks, promotion of information technology industry and use of internet, mobile applications and other networks in economic activities will be promoted.

He said that it is expected that the cost of economic transactions will decrease, time will be saved, efficiency will increase, transparency and good governance will be promoted and competitiveness will be developed.
