Vivo has unveiled its flagship phones for 2023, and other brands are following suit. While some brands have officially confirmed their next launches, others have lost to internet leaks. Recently, specs about the upcoming Oppo Find X6 Pro surfaced online, giving us a detailed look at the company’s next flagship. In this article, we will discuss all the rumors and leaks surrounding the specs, features, and expected launch of the Oppo Find X6 Pro.
Oppo Find X6 Pro Rumors Roundup:
Oppo has always been creative with its smartphone, especially its smartphone. Last year’s Find X5 Pro featured a slight variation of the Gradient Arc designwhich has been a staple of Oppo’s flagships since 2021. While it has helped the phones to stand out from the crowd, Oppo thinks it’s time for a change.
If the latest rumors are to be believed, the Oppo Find X6 Pro will move away from the camera module blending into the rear panel to something more protruding, like what we see on Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
The phone will also be considerably thicker. According to a tipster, an engineering sample of the Find X6 Pro with a ceramic back is 9.4mm, even without accounting for the massive camera bump. The faux leather version is said to be thicker at 9.5mm. However, it is not clear if it’s the same units that will launch in the market.
It looks like 1-inch sensors will be a norm with Chinese flagships in 2023. It all started with Xiaomi co-developing the 50MP IMX989 with Sony for the 12S Ultra. The sensor then became part of the new Vivo X90 Pro Series, and it will be on the Oppo Find X6 Pro next.
The 1” sensor will be accompanied by two 50MP Sony IMX890 sensors. One will take ultrawide shots while the other will help in zoom with its 2.7x optical zoom. The phone will also feature a Time-of-Flight sensor for autofocus and depth information.
Hasselblad and MariSilicon X2
In addition to the new camera sensor, Oppo Find X6 Pro will also benefit from Hasselblad’s color calibration and the rumored MariSilicon X2. The Find X6 series will be the second product out of Oppo and Hasselblad’s 3-year partnership. The MariSilicon X2 will be a successor to last year’s MariSilicon X, which is Oppo’s in-house chip based on a 6nm process that offloads the image processing workload from the main SoC.
