At the Unpacked 2022 event on August 10, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The Watch 5 Pro is the newest addition to the Galaxy Watch lineup, replacing the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro has a 44mm premium titanium casing. The display has a protruded bezel design. Along with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, the Watch 5 Pro is also the first Samsung smartwatch to feature a sapphire crystal display.

<p>The watch is 5ATM and IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, plus MIL-STD-810H (the latest version of US Military Standard). It has a <strong>1.4-inch Super AMOLED display</strong>.</p>
<p>It comes in two colous: Black Titanium and Gray Titanium. There is an all-new D-Buckle sport band for the Watch 5 Pro.</p>

Hardware
It is also powered by the same Exynos W920 processor as the Galaxy Watch 5 and last year’s Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. Built on a 5nm technology process, the chipset has two 1.18GHz Arm Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G68 GPU.
For memory, it has 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Health and Features
The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro has a new “route workout” feature, which can record and share the route with friends on the Samsung Health app. It lets you import GPX format working routes.

<p>It also provides <strong>turn-by-turn navigation</strong> using voice and vibration so that when hiking or cycling, you do not always need to look at the watch all the time. Additionally, there is a <strong>“track back”</strong> option that directs you back to your starting point, so you won’t get lost.</p>
<p>Focusing on outdoor workouts, the smartwatch comes with a wide selection of watch faces that can show sunset time to compass.</p>
<p>In addition, it has all the features the vanilla Galaxy Watch 5 had, including Samsung’s 3-in-1 BioActive Sensor — which can measure optical heart rate, electrical heart signal (ECG), bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) — temperature sensor, fall detection, and sleep tracking.</p>
<h4>Software</h4>
<p>The Watch 5 Pro comes with Google’s <strong>Wear OS 3.5</strong> topped with <strong>One UI Watch 4.5</strong>. Later this year, Google Maps can be used on the watch without a smartphone, according to Google.</p>
<p>Google also promised that Deezer and Soundcloud are coming to Wear OS to let users play music with a phone nearby.</p>
<h4>Connectivity and Battery</h4>
<p>For connectivity, the smartwatch supports <strong>Bluetooth 5.2</strong> and dual-band <strong>Wi-Fi 4</strong>. It also has <strong>NFC</strong> support and built-in GNSS support, including <strong>GPS</strong>, <strong>Glonass</strong>, <strong>Beidou</strong>and <strong>Galileo</strong>.</p>
<p>With a <strong>590mAh battery</strong>the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro features the biggest battery of any Galaxy Watch. It supports <strong>fast wireless charging</strong>.</p>

For those who enjoy outdoor activities, Samsung has created the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, a tough premium smartwatch. The route-workout, track-back, and turn-by-turn navigation features are all very useful for cycling or hiking.
It’s also built to last with a titanium frame, sapphire crystal display, and protruding display bezel. The smartwatch’s 590 mAh battery is also the biggest of any smartwatch (if I’m not wrong).
