Telecom service affected due to problem in optical link between Chinchu to Surkhet

Due to a problem in the optical link between Chinchu and Surkhet, the telecommunication service of Nepal Telecom operating through that route has been affected.

On the morning of Baisakh 7, there was a problem in the optical link between Chhinchu and Surkhet, so the telecommunication services operating through that route were affected.

As the technical team has been dispatched to the field to solve the problem of the optical link as soon as possible, it seems that it may take some time to solve the problem, so the landline and 2G/3G services have been put into operation through the backup microwave link, according to Telecom.

The company has apologized for the difficulty in operating FTTH Internet and 4G services due to the limited capacity of the microwave link.
