Answering the questions raised by the MPs on the budget of the ministry in the National Assembly meeting on Thursday, she said that the ministry is ready to bring digital literacy promotion and social media under the legal framework.

I would like to inform you that concrete steps will be taken to limit social media by formulating a law in the coming financial year. “Electronic data security policy will be formulated to manage the safe storage and use of electronic data,” she said.

Minister Sharma said that the preparations to take the National Cyber ​​Security Policy to the Council of Ministers by integrating the issues related to cyber security are in the final stage.

Minister Sharma informed that currently 242 televisions, 928 FM radios, 7979 newspapers and 3990 online newspapers are registered and operating.

Minister Sharma also said that news content is being published and broadcast in 38 languages ​​from Gorkhapatra, 21 languages ​​from Radio Nepal and 9 languages ​​from Nepal Television.
