Service taken by more than one thousand from ‘NMB loan’ loan operated by AI
For the first time in the world of banking, NMB Bank has launched a simple loan operation by Artificial Intelligence. The number of customers taking NMB loan service has reached over one thousand. The bank has so far disbursed more than 60 million loans under the scheme.
Under the loan, the entire loan process can be done digitally without any kind of manual intervention from the application for loan disbursement, the bank said.
The bank has stated that over a thousand service recipients have benefited from this scheme which can be obtained within 5 minutes of applying through the use of a mobile.
There are more than 10 million savings accounts in Nepal, of which only about 1.6 million customers seem to be able to avail of the loan facility.
While customers do not have much access to digital loans, NMB is providing digital loans to customers through the NMB loan scheme to increase public awareness and focus on small loans.
Considering the current situation, the bank has launched the NMB loan scheme under the short-term unsecured loan scheme to meet the personal and emergency financial needs of the customers who have a salary account and are using personal loans.
Customers who have a salary account with NMB Bank and have a personal loan with a flexible period of up to 24 months will get Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. Loans up to Rs 200,000 are being provided immediately 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
Customers will be able to choose their loan repayment period, loan repayment type, loan amount, etc. based on their convenience.
